New Horizons to Explore

Long have I heard of the magical experience it is to be in the natural environment of Cambodia! But never have I been more inspired to visit now until I came across this immaculate resort http://songsaa.com This resort is obviously for luxury travellers, but there are two reasons I am attracted to it. #1 I am not good at entering the unknown world of a place like Cambodia so luxury seems the way to go. #2 My friends are looking for a fabulous place for a destination wedding. Both of which are possible at Song Saa.

Not due to open until late 2011 but for those who end up there, I would love to hear your stories....

Aspiring Photographer or Lazy Tourist?

Although I am not a fan of the iPhone as an actual phone, I do admit there are a lot of really great apps out there that make it a useful gadget! Point in question is, Lifelapse http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/lifelapse-for-iphone/id442952331?mt=8&ls=1"/, a new app that allows you to hang your phone from your neck, and every 30 seconds it will automatically take a picture. This is a great way to get pictures of your getaway without even thinking about it, or just give you that timelapse effect of a particular moment...I can only imagine all the surprising moments you discover at the end of the day.

Ibiza Part Deux

There is a new hotspot in Ibiza. Boasting a clothing optional restaurant, Ushuaia Beach Hotel - is certain to not disappoint Ibiza's hedonistic reputation!

Defected Records will be taking over Saturday's for the 2011 Season, with appearances by Bob Sinclar, Dmitri from Paris, and Frankie Knuckles to name a few. For more details you can visit their site at http://www.ushuaiabeachhotel.com/

Hitch A Ride

Discovered a new flying option today and I hope this idea really takes off! www.socialflights.com offers networking with private jet owners, which is basically hitching a ride on a private jet at a really reasonable rate. Right now it looks like this is just operating stateside, but it doesn't hurt to sign up in the event someone decides to fly through your fair city, or you live close enough to the border that it makes sense to drive to the nearest US airport. Would love to hear any feedback from anyone who tries out this service.....Bon Voyage!July 19 2011 - This site may be down for maintenance but they also have a facebook page...

Destination Ibiza

This year my dream summer destination will be Ibiza, Spain. It truly is the perfect combination of desert heat, with beautiful, and often secluded, beaches. It is also a hedonistic playground for the European hipster, but also offers many options for simple relaxation. Of course if you love a good party, it certainly is there for you join in!

It is easy enough to take a flight there from anywhere in Europe, but I prefer the stop in Barcelona. You can spend a couple days roaming this gothic city, with it's beautiful architecture and Modern Art Museums, and then smack down in the middle of the city is a ferry that will take you to Ibiza. Warning: it is not a short trip, 11 hours in fact, but you can take it at midnight and be in Ibiza by mid-day! Private Accommodations can be found at http://www.leotrippi.ru/en/summer/d_17/spain/ibiza.html/
